Palmerston North Skate Park uses the old railway land reserve as a source of inspiration to create an environmentally aware and recycled skate space. The park uses recycled railway sleepers, beams and rustic orange tiles that are made in New Zealand, to promote locally sourced and produced materials. The first stage includes the installation of the pool bowl and surrounding features. The second stage, now complete included a mellow bank to ledge, pole jam, wollie round rail, rebuilt ramps and euro gap, skate feature with rail, kicker gap and bank to ledge, pump bump, A-frame rail and wollie ledge and pump track through a tree environment.
