The Birkenhead Skatepark facility has been part of a comprehensive renewal package for Birkenhead War Memorial Park. The existing skatepark with years of use was due a complete revamp. In consultation with the local user group and the Auckland Council RICH Landscapes facilitated the design of a skate space that provides a range of features while integrating with the circulation route for pedestrians moving through the space. The design includes a flow street area with quarterpipes and skate features, covered space with grind ledge and a Mini Bowl with Pool Coping.
