Te Kauwhata Skatepark brings a pool bowl to the area, which provides an improved skate space for the local community. The park offers a challenging arena for all age groups and wheeled play activities. A surplus tunnel segment from the Waterview Tunnel development in Auckland was recycled into the park giving a connection to the existing war memorial site, anchoring the design of the park.
