Rich Landscapes was commissioned by Waitomo District Council to undertake a comprehensive audit of the Te Kuiti Skatepark located on Carroll Street, adjacent to State Highway 3.

Scope of Work

  • On-Site Assessment
    A detailed inspection of the skatepark was carried out, with a focus on structural condition, surface quality, drainage, and compliance with current safety expectations.
  • Flow & Element Analysis
    The layout and design of the skatepark were evaluated for user functionality, feature placement, and suitability across different wheeled play disciplines.
  • CPTED & Safety Review
    The park was reviewed in relation to passive surveillance, fencing, signage, and any design features that could pose a safety risk to users.
  • Mapping & Visual Documentation
    The audit included site mapping, condition plans, element and flow diagrams, and photo documentation to clearly communicate the assessment findings.
  • Costed Maintenance & Renewal Options
    A breakdown of remedial works and provisional budget estimates was provided to support the Council’s asset management planning.
